Prof. dr. Ahab Bdaiwi will elaborate on his research “From Paganism to Monotheism: Religion in Arabia in the Seventh Century AD”

The religious and philosophical landscape in Arabia before the advent of Islam remains, for the most part, uncharted territory. This workshop sheds light on how the new Islamic dispensation of the seventh century AD came to see the Arabian pagans and their worldview.

An in-depth 3-hour meeting, in which there is room to shed more light on the subject. In addition to the teaching and reading material, you will receive a certificate of participation. There is room for informal meeting afterwards with soup and a sandwich.

Prof. Ahab Bdaiwi zal uitweiden over zijn onderzoek “From Paganism to Monotheism: Religion in Arabia in the Seventh Century AD”

Het religieuze en filosofische landschap in Arabië vóór de komst van de islam blijft voor het grootste deel onbekend terrein. Deze workshop werpt licht op hoe de nieuwe islamitische gemeenschap van de zevende eeuw na Christus de Arabische heidenen en hun wereldbeeld begon te zien.

Een verdiepende 3uur durende bijeenkomst, waarin ruimte is om het onderwerp nader te belichten. Naast het les- en leesmateriaal, ontvangt u een deelnemerscertificaat en is er ruimte voor ontmoeting en napraten met soep en een broodje.

Tarief A: 49,-euro
Tarief B: 39,- euro

Het C-tarief geldt indien u (gezamenlijk) een inkomen heeft tot maximaal 1500 euro netto per maand. Het B-tarief is voor (gezamenlijke) inkomens tot maximaal 2000 euro per maand. Het A-tarief is bedoeld voor inkomens van meer dan 2000 euro netto per maand en voor personen die de kosten (zakelijk) kunnen declareren. Onze doelstelling is dat het voor iedereen mogelijk moet zijn om een activiteit van Fahm Instituut bij te wonen. Fahm Instituut werkt kostendekkend.
