DESCRIPTION:

An intensive in-depth course on diverse interpretations of key texts on the position of women in the Qur’an, hadith and fiqh. The course is based on a multidisciplinary method. In this way, we not only focus on source-texts, but also research agency and female Islamic leadership throughout the history of Islam; from classical female scholars, all the way to the contemporary discussion and internal Islamic dialogue about pro’s and con’s on Islamic feminism and ‘Western’ Feminism. Everyone interested in this topic is welcomed to join us in this live online course to make this journey throughout history. 6 interactive sessions (with breakout rooms) of 2 hours.


PRICE:

Category A, € 39,- applies to individuals who have a (cumulative) income of up to 1500 euro a month.

Category B, € 69,- applies to individuals who have an income of up to 2000 euro a month.

Category C, € 99,- applies to individuals who have an Income of more than 2000 euros per month or for people who can recharge the costs (e.g. to their business or to an employer).

Category D, fully subsidized | If your financial situation does not t Is restricting you to from attending the course, please get in touch and share your personal statement of interest for taking the course with us. We have 10 fully funded places reserved for you. It is our aim to make attending the course possible for everyone. Section D seats are prioritized for people coming from countries where the cost exchange to euro may be difficult. Motivation letters for section D should be send by email to ISS and Fahm Instituut.
